Excellent food, lovely setting, elegant modern room, great service. The Woods is in the clubhouse of the Shoreland Country Club and is open to all. Downstairs is the golfers' grill, upstairs the restaurant. The restaurant has a great view of the beautiful golf course and lake and is an elegant modern design. The lunch menu is terrific; I haven't tried the dinner menu and the upstairs restaurant is not open for breakfast. Lunch menu is appetizers, salads that looked terrific and hot and cold sandwiches. I had the Hot Italian Poor Boy - Italian sausage, two kinds of ham, cheese, lettuce, pepper and whatnot with pizza sauce. Fabulous. Service is excellent and the prices surprisingly moderate. I cannot recommend this place enough. This is a fine place for an elegant dinner or a casual lunch.
